What’s Open in Downtown Blue Ridge on a Monday, Tuesday or After 6 p.m.

The short answer

Downtown Blue Ridge is thinnest on Mondays: of 37 places that post weekly hours, 27 are open Monday and 32 Tuesday, against 37 on Friday. The Art Center, The Dogwood, The General Ledger and several dinner rooms close Monday. At most three places open before 9 a.m., and on weeknights the late list is mostly restaurants and bars. Posted hours, checked Oct 17, 2026.

Downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia is quieter early in the week, but it does not shut down. Of the 37 downtown businesses and public stops in our directory that post weekly hours, 27 post being open on a Monday and 32 on a Tuesday, against 37 on a Friday. Monday is the day to check before you drive up: 10 of them post no Monday hours at all.

Hours are as each business posts them, checked Oct 17, 2026; call ahead.

How we counted

We started with the 51 shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes, bars, attractions and visitor stops in our downtown directory, leaving out parking, parks, restrooms, City offices and the railway ticket office. 37 of them publish a weekly schedule, almost always on their own website, and every count below comes from those schedules. The other 14 are named at the end instead of guessed at.

A place counts as open on a day if it posts any hours that day, and as open past 6 p.m. if its posted closing time is later than 6.

Day by day

Day Places posting hours Posting none Open before 9 a.m. Open before 10 a.m. Open past 6 p.m.
Monday 27 10 2 2 14
Tuesday 32 5 3 4 15
Wednesday 35 2 3 4 18
Thursday 36 1 3 4 21
Friday 37 0 3 4 23
Saturday 37 0 3 4 23
Sunday 33 4 3 3 18

Friday and Saturday have everyone, and on Sunday four places post no hours. Monday is the thin day, then Tuesday, and each has a different set of closures, so a place shut on Monday may be open on Tuesday.

Monday: who posts no hours

These 10 places post nothing for Monday:

Monday still works for a meal. By posted hours, Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar & Grill serves 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Harvest on Main 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Rose’s Smash House 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For dinner, Ferraro’s Kitchen, Kurokoi and Whiskey & Water all post 4 to 9 p.m. Daytime options include Cantaberry Restaurant (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily) and Rum Cake Lady Cuban Cafe on West First Street (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Most Main Street shops keep Monday hours. Blue Ridge Olive Oil Company, The Spice & Tea Exchange of Blue Ridge, Tupelo Tea, Out of the Blue, Pezrok and New Blue Home & Gift all post being open. The Monday gaps are mostly galleries, the museum and the dinner rooms on West Main.

Tuesday: a different set of closures

On Tuesday, The Art Center, the Heritage Foundation museum, The Dogwood, Black Sheep, grace A Prime Steakhouse, Misty Mountain Hops, 34th Degree Wine Merchant and 4 Elements Art all come back. Five places post no Tuesday hours: Blue Ridge Adventure Dog, Georgia Wine Depot, Kurokoi, Rose’s Smash House (closed Tuesday and Wednesday) and The General Ledger (closed Monday and Tuesday). Angry Hops Brewing lists a bingo night on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 p.m.

By Wednesday the list fills in. By Thursday only Georgia Wine Depot, which lists Friday through Sunday, posts no hours. One note: Deaf Man Vinyl posts Wednesday hours but says it may close on Wednesdays in the off season and in bad weather.

Mornings: who opens before 9 or 10 a.m.

Early starts are few. Mountain Mama’s Coffee Lounge on East Main posts 7 a.m. every day. Copper Fox Books, the bookstore and coffee café across from the depot, opens at 8 a.m. every day. Bigfoot Biscuit at The Dogwood serves from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. 4 Elements Art opens at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. That is the full before-10 list.

Deaf Man Vinyl, Pezrok and New Blue Home & Gift follow at 10:30. If you are catching a 10 a.m. train, breakfast downtown means coffee on East Main, the café at Copper Fox Books or, outside Monday, a biscuit at The Dogwood. Our breakfast and coffee page has the full list.

Places that do not post weekly hours

These 14 places are in our directory without a posted weekly schedule we could use, so they are not counted above. That does not mean they are closed. Huck’s General Store says it is open seven days a week but gives no times; Escape Blue Ridge is open daily by booking; Oyster Bamboo Fly Rods opens its shop to the public Thursday through Saturday; and Doghobble Cellars shows more than one set of hours, so call. Several others have no website of their own, and two blocked our check:

Blue Ridge Antique Mall, Blue Ridge Creamery (downtown), Das Kaffee Haus, Doghobble Cellars, Escape Blue Ridge, Huck’s General Store, Multitudes Gallery, Oyster Bamboo Fly Rods, Southern Charm Restaurant, The Little Paris Oven, The Pullman, The Sweet Shoppe of the South, The Vine Wine Bar and Eatery, Toccoa River Outfitters.

Planning a weekday visit

On a Monday, favor the East Main side, where most shops and several kitchens keep their hours. For a timed walking plan built from these hours, use Plan Your Day; for every restaurant with its posted days, see downtown restaurants, and for shops, shops and galleries street by street.

Parking changes in the evening too. The City of Blue Ridge‘s parking sheet sets the free three-hour limit on East and West Main from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (sheet captured May 2024; we could not confirm a current copy). Our parking guide has the lots.
